A member of the House of Representatives, Wale Ahmed, has dismissed the prospects of the opposition defeating President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, in the 2027 elections.
Ahmed, who represents Agege Federal Constituency, said the APC’s presidential and governorship tickets were “unstoppable,” urging former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar to abandon his presidential ambition and support Tinubu.
The lawmaker spoke in a statement on Tuesday following an inter-faith prayer organised by the Lagos APC to begin mobilisation for the 2027 elections.
Ahmed said the prayer marked the beginning of the party’s campaign on a foundation of unity and faith.
