Intel $INTC is planning to raise prices on its personal-computer central processing units by 10% in October, according to MarketWatch, citing Taiwan-based tech publication DigiTimes.

The move comes amid surging memory component prices that have strained the wider technology industry, according to MarketWatch. Rising costs across that supply chain have put pressure on chipmakers to pass expenses on to customers.
