The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry believes that the U.S. side recognizes the changing reality on the battlefield and in the skies over Ukraine and Russia, as well as the need to update approaches to the peace process.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said this at a briefing, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“We are aware of new ideas, certain approaches and elements. I will not disclose them publicly. Diplomacy must have room for negotiations,” he said, referring to a meeting with U.S. special representatives in Kyiv.
Tykhyi believes that trilateral talks must be held to determine which ideas can be developed and to help bring the war to an end.
According to him, both the Ukrainian and U.S. sides have such ideas. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson also noted that the reality has changed since the 28-point U.S. plan was discussed.
