All arrangements are expected to be in place by the evening of September 12 at Ganesh ghat, the water body in Nellore city where the Ganesh idols will be immersed after the Vinayaka Chaturthi festival.The Ganesh ghat abuts the Sri Irukalala Parameswari Ammavaru temple, considered the folk goddess of Nellore. The water body is huge enough that Ganesh idols from not only Nellore city and Nellore Rural constituencies, but also those from Kovur and Sarvepalli Assembly segments, are immersed here.TDP State spokesperson Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy, who is also a member of Vikrama Simhapuri Ganesh Festival Committee, inspected the arrangements along with former Mayor N.
