A truck driver and cleaner were reportedly charred to death when their vehicle plunged into a gorge on the Guvvalacheruvu ghat road and caught fire in Kadapa district early on Tuesday.The truck carrying cement bags nosedived into the gorge and caught fire after its brakes reportedly failed while negotiating a steep curve on the dangerous ghat road. The driver Subramani and cleaner Palani were charred to death on the spot. The dry vegetation further helped spread the wildfire into the nearby areas.Police personnel rushed to the spot along with fire tenders and extinguished the fire.
