MOSCOW/NEW DELHI, September 8. /TASS/. Moscow is confident in an imminent victory, and combat operations are progressing very successfully for Russia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated during a briefing for Indian media ahead of the BRICS summit in New Delhi.
He also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, which will take place in a few days, will be significant for both countries.

Russia did not want and did not start the war in Ukraine but it is trying to stop it: "We actually never wanted this war. What we’re trying to do, we’re trying to stop the war that was launched before, and it was not launched by us. It was not started by us."
