Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the upcoming BRICS Summit in India and is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said during a virtual interaction with Indian reporters.Peskov also said Russia supports the idea of inviting new countries to join different formats of cooperation within BRICS, signalling Moscow's backing for wider participation in the grouping.Putin's participation in the summit comes as India prepares to host the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit in New Delhi on September 12-13.
