The Cedar Innovation Foundation, a Fairshake-linked crypto advocacy group, is launching a seven-figure cable advertising campaign to rally support for the CLARITY Act ahead of the Senate’s planned Sept. 15 vote, Punchbowl News reported Tuesday.
The 501(c)(4)’s campaign features three national ads. One takes aim at the banking industry, accusing banks of using corporate lobbyists to oppose the bill and protect profits from competition. The ad uses footage of pigs eating and squealing to portray banks as enjoying a profit “feeding frenzy” and will run on CNBC, MS NOW, CNN, Fox News and Newsmax.
Two additional ads promote the legislation by highlighting support from AARP and law enforcement organizations. The AARP-backed spot emphasizes provisions aimed at combating crypto ATM scams and protecting seniors, while the third ad endorses the Clarity Act as the first-of-its-kind crypto regulation and urges the Senate to pass it.
