Aston Villa were held to a goalless draw by newly promoted Hull City, as Unai Emery’s men continued the search for their first win of the season.
The Tigers are second with seven points from three games while Villa are 17th.
Villa, who were beaten by Brighton and Arsenal in their opening fixtures, remain winless three games into the new Premier League season.
Unai Emery’s side went close to breaking the deadlock on several occasions, but Hull’s defence stood strong to ensure the points were shared.
The Tigers, meanwhile, went closest to a breakthrough in the 65th minute when Mohamed Belloumi’s curling effort beat Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki but not the crossbar.
