Fresh from the success of Africa Fashion Week London, its sister platform Africa Fashion Week Nigeria returns to Lagos this December with a powerful message for a changing world: The Future Wears Africa.
The future of fashion is not waiting to happen. It is already being designed, made, and worn across Africa.
This December, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) returns to Lagos for its 2026 edition, following the hugely successful recent staging of its sister event, Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL); the pioneering platform founded by Queen Ronke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi in 2011 to increase the visibility, awareness, and sustainability of African and Black fashion brands.
Now, the story moves from London to Lagos this Detty December. Taking place on 12–13 December 2026, AFWN will bring together designers, creatives, buyers, investors, media, and fashion audiences under this year’s defining theme: The Future Wears Africa.
And the choice of theme is rooted in something much bigger than fashion.
