Shimmering cowrie shells, bold African prints and striking animal patterns took centre stage as Noir Fashion Week brought its African Code showcase to Nairobi, turning the runway into a vibrant celebration of the continent’s creative identity.

The showcase brought together 10 designers from across Africa, placing craftsmanship, heritage and contemporary design at the centre of the event.

From Nairobi to Lagos and Johannesburg, the designers explored African luxury through rich textiles, crochet, knitwear, cowrie shells, animal prints and sculptural silhouettes.

The collections offered different interpretations of African identity, drawing from ancestral traditions while experimenting with contemporary cuts, sustainable materials and Afro-futurist ideas.
