Ukrainian drones struck several Russian oil refineries, along with a storage and launch site for strike drones, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported, saying the strikes were part of Ukraine’s continued response to Russian attacks. “A refinery was hit in the Ryazan region. The Ryazan refinery is one of Russia’s largest oil-processing facilities, producing gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, and other petroleum products, including supplies for the Russian military. On Sunday, Sept. 6, Ukrainian drones struck the refinery’s primary oil-processing facilities. The plant has a reported annual processing capacity of about 8.5 million tons. Ukrainian forces also struck the facility in late July. Fires were subsequently reported at the refinery and a Wildberries warehouse in Ryazan, with the regional governor confirming fires at industrial facilities. Zelensky also said Ukrainian forces had struck a Russian target in the Black Sea. The General Staff of Ukraine separately reported strikes on Russian military targets on Sept. 6 and overnight into Sept. 7, including a railway bridge, ammunition depot, and command posts.
