All Blacks were dealt a blow with captain Ardie Savea sustaining a shoulder injury ahead of the fourth and final Test match of the Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series in Baltimore.

The All Blacks arrived in Baltimore late on Sunday night without three of their most important players as they prepare for a final, desperate bid to save the Greatest Rivalry series.

The Springboks lead 2-1 after their 29-24 victory in Soweto at the weekend, leaving New Zealand with only one option: win Saturday’s fourth and final Test to force a 2-2 stalemate.

Among the biggest blows for coach Dave Rennie is the loss of captain and talisman Ardie Savea, who suffered a shoulder injury in the third Test.

“It’s Ardie’s shoulder. He is going home,” a disappointed Rennie said. “He was massive, wasn’t he? But Wallace (Sititi) came on and played well. We’re certainly not going to use that as an excuse.”
