President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the negotiating team following meetings in Kyiv with U.S. special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The meeting focused on air defense needs and the required “winter package.”

The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Meeting with the negotiating team following our meetings in Kyiv with representatives of the President of the United States. (…) The most important thing is to continue working actively and jointly to ensure that diplomacy continues,” he wrote.

Zelensky noted that the meeting addressed air defense needs, relevant technological cooperation, and the required “winter package.”

“Our partners know what can work and what must be in place specifically by winter. We are coordinating further steps and preparing the next meetings and communications. Ukraine’s proposals are constructive, and they always will be,” he said.
