The European Union will continue supporting Ukrainian agricultural exporters amid logistical disruptions caused by Russian attacks on Ukraine’s seaports, considering the Danube corridor an alternative to maritime transport.
A European Commission spokesperson said this in a comment to Ukrinform.
“TheEU is fully committed to continuing to support Ukraine’s access to international markets,” the spokesperson said.
The European Commission is “closely monitoring” the situation in the Black Sea, including “disruptions caused by Russian attacks on Ukraine’s seaports, transport infrastructure, and border-crossing points.”
The European Commission is also assessing the potential consequences for agriculture, the economy as a whole, and global food security.
