Representatives from Ukraine, the European Commission, Moldova, and Romania held a meeting focused on stepping up the work of the Solidarity Corridors, developing the capacity of ports in the Danube region, and ensuring the stable transit of Ukrainian goods amid intensifying Russian attacks on port infrastructure.
This was reported by the Ministry of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport, according to Ukrinform.
It is noted that the Ukrainian side was represented by officials from the Ministry of Recovery, the Ministry of Economy, the Seaport Administration, and Ukrzaliznytsia.
The meeting took place in light of intensified Russian attacks on civilian port infrastructure, merchant ships, and crews. The latest massive shelling has effectively led to a temporary suspension of ships calling at Ukrainian ports.
The meeting participants focused on developing practical solutions to increase the throughput capacity of the Danube logistics route, develop ports in Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova, and remove infrastructure and administrative constraints on key transport corridors.
