The Israel Defense Forces struck Hezbollah terror group targets in Lebanon overnight Sunday-Monday, reportedly killing eleven people, after the Iranian proxy fired two explosive drones at troops, the army said.
The IDF said that no injuries were caused to troops in the Hezbollah attack, the third such incident in a week.
In a separate incident on Monday, two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded in a clash with a Hezbollah operative near Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon, the military said.
In response to the drones, Hezbollah infrastructure sites in several areas of southern Lebanon, including a weapons depot, were targeted in airstrikes, according to the IDF.
According to the state-run National News Agency, a strike carried out by Israeli fighter jets on a residential building in the town of Kfar Reman after midnight killed nine people, including two children, and wounded five others.
