Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. expressed concerns that China's influence could grow due to recent US-South Korean military exercise cuts, but gave assurances that US commitments to the Philippines remain unchanged.
The Philippines is strengthening its defense ties with the US and other countries, including Canada, New Zealand, France, and Britain, amid rising tensions with China in the South China Sea.
