With artificial intelligence (AI) transforming every sector—replacing human roles, eliminating some jobs while creating new ones—the younger generation has a greater responsibility to master emerging technologies and stay ahead of these changes, said St Roji M. John, Higher Education Minister, Keralam.He was speaking at the valedictory function of the two-day Yi Kochi Inspiration Summit ‘Amplified 2026’, organised by Young Indians (Yi), the youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).Chief Guest and State Advocate General Adv. K. G. Jaju Babu said life goals could be achieved only through inspiration, ambition and hard work.The valedictory function was attended by CII Kerala Vice Chairman Santhosh Kumar, Yi Kochi Chairperson Ashika Jain, Vice Chairman Deepu Xavier, and former office-bearers Vivek Krishna Govind, George Muthoot George and Pranav Joshi.The Future 6.0 Final Awards and Changemaker Awards for winners of various competitions held as part of the two-day summit were also presented at the function.The summit featured Yi Young Future 6.0, a national programme that brought together students from 12 cities across India to share ideas and experiences; PRISM, which offered school and college students free exposure to new ideas through 3D printing and robotics workshops, Kalaripayattu, interactive exhibitions and hands-on activities; a job fair organised in association with 1M1B (One Million for One Billion); and Yi Launchpad – Big Pitch.Published on September 7, 2026
