Arusha. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Lands, Natural Resources and Tourism has urged the government to refine the investment climate to attract greater private sector participation, stating that the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament unlocks massive opportunities within tourism infrastructure across Arusha.
It stated that the expected visitor surge provides an avenue for domestic and international investors to enhance accommodation, entertainment, transport and tourist attractions.
Committee Chairman Timothy Mnzava made the remarks on Sunday, September 6, 2026, after visiting Lake Duluti Forest Reserve in Arumeru District to inspect conservation efforts, tourism activities and ongoing infrastructure projects.
