It’s been more than a decade since Britain first took US reality star Michelle Visage under its wing – and the former Celebrity Big Brother housemate couldn’t be happier about it.
“I didn’t expect to be so welcomed on that show,” she says. “I feel properly British at this point. I feel like I’ve been accepted and that I’m one of yours – which is a great honour.”
Eleven years on, Michelle, 57, divides her time between Los Angeles and London, and is now best known for her role as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race as well as her weekly Fabulous Friday slot on Radio 2. “In my heart of hearts, I’m a radio girl,” she tells us. “To be the sole American on the station is the biggest gift, and it means the world to me.”
