As a bomb data expert, Sonya assists expo Lana Washington, played by Vicky McClure, who battles to defuse deadly devices and track down terrorist networks.‌The latest season of the show kicked off on Sunday, 30 August, with Lana battling to save the Bank of England from being blown up, but it soon became clear that the whole of London was under threat, and one member of the force was killed.‌Sonya is now needed to help Lana catch those responsible in a thrilling race against time. As Kerry returns to Trigger Point, here's a look at her life, including her actor husband.Actress and comedian Kerry studied at the Rose Bruford drama school in South London, but after an uncertain start to her acting career, she decided to turn to stand-up and hasn't looked back.‌She's been a regular on Taskmaster and Mock the Week, has appeared on and hosted Live at the Apollo, and has taken part in Paralympic challenges on The Last Leg on Channel 4. She starred in Gervais' creations, Extras and Life's Too Short, and of course, she also played care home assistant Hannah in Derek.Along with making people laugh, Kerry is very gifted at starring in thrilling dramas and has appeared in Our Girl, the Sky original drama Save Me, and the Acorn TV original Whitstable Pearl.‌Who is Kerry's famous husband?Kerry is married to actor Ben Abell, and the pair tied the knot in 2008, after meeting on a blind date when Kerry was 27, and Ben was 29.The duo appeared together in Whitstable Pearl in 2022, where Kerry played Pearl Nolan from 2021 to 2024.
