On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, 41 government teachers, lecturers and principals were recognised as ‘best teachers’ by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the year 2026-27. The awards were presented by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and IT & Education Minister Nara Lokesh during Guru Puja celebrations in Vijayawada on Saturday (September 5, 2026).Ongole-based P.V.R. Municipal Boys’ High School Headmistress Muvva Radhika received the State-level award from the CM. The school's teaching and non-teaching staff appreciated her achievement. From Nellore, Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) Department of Tourism Management faculty member M. Thyagaraju got the award.Congratulating him, VSU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Allam Srinivasa Rao said that a university faculty member receiving a State-level award was a matter of great pride for the varsity.
