inDrive, the global mobility and delivery platform, is raising the stakes in Nigeria’s increasingly competitive courier market with a new free parcel protection feature designed to shield business users from losses arising from damaged or missing packages.

The company said eligible business users of its inDrive.Courier service in Nigeria can now receive coverage of up to N50,000 per parcel at no additional cost, giving small businesses and entrepreneurs a financial buffer when deliveries go wrong.

The move places parcel protection at the centre of inDrive’s strategy to attract and retain businesses that increasingly depend on last-mile delivery to move products from their shops, homes and warehouses to customers.

For small businesses operating with tight margins, the loss or damage of a customer’s order can create costs beyond the value of the product itself, including refunds, replacement expenses and damage to customer relationships.
