Kaizer Chiefs are determined to build on an encouraging start to the season, with coach Fernando da Cruz demanding maximum focus and fewer errors.
Chiefs remain undefeated in the Betway Premiership this season, having won two games and drawn two. Consequently, they sit fourth on the log with eight points, five behind leaders Orlando Pirates, who have played one additional match.
This promising start has given supporters confidence that the team can improve on last season's third-place finish, particularly as the blend of senior and new players begins to yield results.
Speaking ahead of their clash against Siwelele FC at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday (3pm), Da Cruz warned his squad not to get complacent, noting that every opponent in the league is formidable.
“We respect Siwelele,” Da Cruz said. “The championship is very difficult. It is one of the best leagues on the continent, so we respect every opponent.”
