The Kano/Jigawa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service generated N88.93bn in revenue from January to September 2026, while seizures and detentions during the period had a combined Duty Paid Value of N2.16bn.
The Acting Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller UU Adamu, disclosed this on Friday at a press briefing at the Customs House, Bompai, Kano, where he presented the command’s achievements over the period.
Adamu said the command generated N63.08bn in the first half of the year, with its year-to-date revenue subsequently rising to N88.93bn.
“You may wish to recall that during our half-year press briefing, the Command generated the sum of 63,078,655,523.44 billion Naira in revenue,” Adamu said, adding that the command had recorded significant improvement in revenue collection since then.
He said July recorded the highest monthly revenue collection in the history of the command, with more than N14bn generated during the month.
