The Nigeria Customs Service generated N1.38 trillion in revenue between July and August 2026, driven by technology-driven operations, improved trade facilitation, and enhanced border enforcement.

The National Public Relations Officer of the Service, Abdullahi Maiwada, disclosed this on Tuesday during the joint security agencies spokespersons’ press briefing held in Abuja.

Providing a breakdown of the revenue performance, Maiwada revealed that the Service collected N784.65 billion in July and N595.58 billion in August 2026.

He noted that the Apapa Area Command set historic milestones during the period, recording a monthly revenue of N323 billion in July and a new single-day revenue collection record of N28.1 billion on August 18, 2026.
