Let’s talk about award season!
The great Ken Rosenthal got the ball rolling earlier this week with a provocative column about the National League Rookie of the Year race. That is far from the only race worth monitoring as the regular season enters its final weeks. Pete Crow-Armstrong may actually do the unthinkable and dethrone Shohei Ohtani as NL MVP. In the American League, voters must decide between the overall brilliance of Bobby Witt Jr. and the offensive thunder of Yordan Alvarez. And the Cy Young races in both leagues remain fascinating.
So for our next mailbag, we’ll be taking your questions about the BBWAA awards. Feel free to ask about the process, the methodology of voters, all that good stuff. I will provide some answers next week.
