Water levels in the Bulgarian section of the Danube remain critically low, although the river rose by 2 centimeters near Ruse over the past 24 hours, according to data from the Executive Agency for Research and Maintenance of the Danube River on September 3.
The water level at Ruse stood at minus 104 centimeters, marking a 2-centimeter increase compared with the previous 24-hour period. No data on changes over the same period were available for the other hydrometeorological stations along the Bulgarian section.
The lowest reading was recorded at Novo Selo, where the level stood at minus 60 centimeters. Svishtov followed at minus 55 centimeters, while the level at Oryahovo was minus 93 centimeters.
The river stood at minus 101 centimeters at Silistra and minus 104 centimeters at Ruse. The level at Nikopol was minus 6 centimeters.
The latest figures indicate that water levels remain low across much of Bulgaria's section of the Danube, despite the slight rise recorded near Ruse.
