Water levels in the Bulgarian section of the Danube remain critically low, although the river rose by 2 centimeters near Ruse over the past 24 hours, according to data from the Executive Agency for Research and Maintenance of the Danube River on September 3. The water level at Ruse stood at minus 104 centimeters, marking a 2-centimeter increase compared with the previous 24-hour period.
