Two Bulgarian citizens, a 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, have been detained in Munich after incendiary devices were thrown at a car and construction area in front of the headquarters of technology company Rohde & Schwarz, according to reports.
The incident happened around midnight. An eyewitness alerted police after the devices were thrown from a vehicle toward a construction site outside the company's headquarters. One of the Molotov cocktails ignited near construction containers, but the fire was quickly brought under control. Only minor property damage was reported, and no one was injured.
A second incendiary device failed to ignite. Specialists from the Bavarian Criminal Police were called to the scene and safely defused it, while the surrounding area was cordoned off as authorities dealt with the potential danger.
Police launched an immediate search for those responsible and detained the two Bulgarian suspects at a nearby gas station on Innsbrucker Ring Street. Authorities said the pair's connection to the incident is still being investigated and clarified.
No information has been released about a possible motive or what may have prompted the two suspects to allegedly carry out the attack.
