Second, it generates a brief summary of the recent articles it finds, alongside links to the article(s) in which it located the summarized information. The rankings and analysis combine to suggest a recommendation on which player managers should feature in that week’s starting lineup. The player point projections come from a licensed API via Rotowire.Why does the Concierge have to go away from Monday night until Wednesday each week?Because we’re aiming to serve the most accurate and relevant advice possible, The Athletic’s fantasy team needs time to update the weekly rankings and also publish the analysis that will serve as the reasoning behind the recommendations. Plus, even bots could use a break sometimes.I’m having trouble selecting a player I want to include in a query. What’s going on?Be sure you’ve selected the correct filter for your query. For instance, you won’t be able to include quarterbacks if the filter is set to “RB, WR, TE, Flex” since quarterbacks are not Flex-eligible. Additionally, players not included in the week’s rankings or who have already been ruled out for that week’s game cannot be added to comparisons. If you can’t add a player to the query, you probably don’t want them in your lineup.The player the Concierge recommended to start has a lower point projection than another player on the list. That seems wrong. What gives?That’s actually a feature, not a bug, with the Fantasy Concierge. The recommendations issued favor Jake Ciely’s rankings, which include his contextual analysis for how he believes that player will perform in a given week. This provides an additional layer of analysis beyond the algorithmically produced point projections. In essence, it reflects Ciely’s confidence that a certain player will either over- or underproduce their scoring projections for that week.How does this differ from other AI-driven fantasy football tools, or even AI platforms like ChatGPT or Gemini?While ChatGPT or Gemini can offer lineup advice, the information they surface is an aggregation of a variety of internet data sources available to those AI models. All of that information is publicly viewable, which means the other managers in your league can access it as well. If that analysis is available to everyone, it offers less of an edge.Meanwhile, Jake Ciely’s rankings and the analysis provided in the Concierge’s recommendations are pulled 100 percent from The Athletic. The player projections from Rotowire provide an additional data point for your lineup decisions, but the recommendations will come fully from The Athletic’s fantasy coverage.Does The Fantasy Concierge have a name?Beyond The Fantasy Concierge?
