Are you waiting for the final fantasy football draft weekend? We get it. There is a strong argument for having all of the information before making your picks, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still sleepers to be found … or, truly terrific values floating around, even though we “know everything” now. So, especially for our late preseason drafts, we compiled one final list of sleepers, making sure to touch on every position, including a battle of tight end teammates.QuarterbackBrock Purdy, SFCan you have a QB1 as a sleeper? Given the relative cost and perceived value of Purdy, I say, “Yes! Yes! Yes!” We chase high-volume rushing quarterbacks in fantasy for good reason, and Jaxson Dart and Malik Willis are popular sleepers because of it. We should also chase highly productive and efficient offenses, and as a result, give Purdy his flowers. Purdy flowers. Yeah, I just threw you a Bambi callback.Do you know how many times Purdy hasn’t been a QB1 in fantasy points per game (FPPG) the past three seasons? Zero. Do you know how many quarterbacks have a higher touchdown percentage (per attempt) than Purdy? One (Lamar Jackson at 7% to Purdy’s 6%). What about how many quarterbacks have a higher touchdown or first down per attempt percentage? Again, just Jackson (25.3% to 23.7%). Lastly, quarterbacks with a higher expected points added (EPA) per dropback? Zero, again (0.21). Purdy is elite in efficiency, seventh in FPPG over those past three seasons (18.5), has one of the best collections of weapons, and the defense might be bad enough to have him throwing 500+ times for the first time. That increased volume could propel him to a Baker Mayfield 2024-like season, and yet, he’s down in the double-digit rounds of fantasy drafts.Fantasy Football Draft Assistant
