Bitget is holding discussions with major Wall Street institutions over opportunities to expand digital asset offerings and distribution in Asia, CEO Gracy Chen said in an interview with CoinDesk.
Chen said Bitget has been in close communication with BlackRock about distribution in Asia, including tokenized exchange-traded funds.
BlackRock confirmed that its ETPs are already available in Asia and said it regularly engages with virtual asset service providers, but did not comment on specific expansion plans.
The asset management giant oversees $11.6 trillion in client assets and has been building its digital-asset presence in Asia, including through a Singapore-based role focused on regional strategy.
Bitget counts 125 million registered users worldwide, roughly half of them in East and Southeast Asia. More than half of its users also hold traditional stocks, according to company data, creating a potential bridge between crypto exchanges and conventional asset managers.
