Türkiye is expanding its preventive health care services through 8,401 Family Health Centers and 31,000 family physicians serving citizens across the country, Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu said Thursday.
In a post on his NSocial account marking Public Health Week, Memişoğlu said the ministry is continuing efforts to promote healthier lifestyles and strengthen early diagnosis and preventive health care.
“Eighty-one provinces, 86 million people, one single goal. A healthier Türkiye,” Memişoğlu said, adding that activities are being carried out across all 81 provinces throughout Public Health Week under seven different themes over seven days.
Memişoğlu said preventive health care services are being further strengthened under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
He noted that Türkiye currently has 357 Healthy Life Centers providing support in 17 areas, including nutrition and physical activity.
