Incoming tourism is about to show a big annual increase in October given the latest data on the planning of air seat availability to Greece, as well as successive surveys of travel intentions in Greece’s major markets.

Greek and foreign airlines have planned for 18.3% more seats for next month, raising the total offer from around 3 million seats in 2025 to 3.6 million this year.

Athens, Iraklio, Crete, and Rhodes record the most significant increase in air capacity, while the regional airport of Kalamata has shown an impressive increase.

In terms of the main markets of origin for travelers, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Italy lead in absolute numbers, while in terms of percentage change, Poland, Germany and the UK maintain their lead.

This data comes from the latest official update of the Airdata tracker system of the Institute of the Greek Tourism Confederation (INSETE), confirming the continuous expansion of the tourism season beyond the summer months.
