ALBAWABA - The Yemeni army said on Thursday that it has shot down three Houthi drones in the Jabal Habashi district in Taiz, according to Yemen News Agency.The government forces revealed today that the Ansar Allah group, commonly known as the Houthis, attacked districts on the western coast of Taiz and Hodeidah governorates with 14 ballistic missiles, coinciding with drone attacks.In a statement, they reported that air defenses were able to destroy several drones in the Taiz area and others over the western coastal districts.A military source confirmed to the government forces' media center that the ballistic missiles had no impact on the combat operations of the forces stationed on the western coast. The source indicated that government forces had suppressed Houthi fire and threats on the Al-Kadha front west of Taiz, amidst fierce clashes between the two sides.In a related development, a military source told the German Press Agency (dpa) that "the Houthi militia launched the missiles from their positions east and north of Taiz." The source added that the shelling targeted areas east and north of the city of Mocha and its surrounding countryside, as well as areas in the Al-Khawkhah district of Hodeidah Governorate.
