Ride-hailing app to cut about 3,300 workers as it ramps up investments in robotaxi partnerships in US and internationally
Uber said it plans to cut about 10 percent of its global workforce, or about 3,300 staff, as it ramps up investments into autonomous vehicles.
Chief executive Dara Khosrowshahi said the cuts would allow Uber to invest more in its core business and in an “autonomous future”.
He said the cuts would make Uber “simpler and faster”.
