Later in the show, they were joined by commentators Ava-Santina Evans and Sarah Vine to discuss the topical stories.‌The conversation quickly turned to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, after US President Donald Trump said he was "happy" that the couple left America. He admitted that he wasn't a fan of them, adding that they treated the Royal Family with "great disrespect".‌"I think that's the one moment where everyone, even people who don't like Donald Trump, will sort of quite like Donald Trump. Because I think that's generally the prevailing view, actually," Sarah said in the studio.Ava quickly shared her differing view: "Sarah, I categorically do not agree with you. I do not agree at all.‌"I actually think it's rather hubristic, isn't it? You know, you've got this horrible situation in America at the moment where you've got ICE agents who are chasing people who are sometimes legally in the country, just based on the colour of their skin. And then you've got [Trump] talking sort of rather flippantly about Meghan Markle, and said, 'Well, I wouldn't have had her back.'"Ava added: "I don't want to be over moralistic here, but I do think we've lost the sense of statesmanship," shortly before taking a swipe at Prince Harry's brother and sister-in-law, the Prince and Princess of Wales.Richard said that Harry and Meghan "can't unsay" what they said about their family in their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, as well as Harry's memoir.‌Ava hit back, saying: "Do you not think that there's an argument for the other side of it as well? Do you not think that William and Kate were very unfair to them. I mean, I don't think they just sort of plucked it out of thin air."Kate then noted: "I think when you look at that book as well, and look at some things that [were] said, it looks to be like a, particularly in Harry's case, like a person that needed healing, you know?"‌GMB viewers were quick to share their frustration after watching the segment, with many taking to X (formerly Twitter). "F****** hell #gmb are obsessed with Harry and Meghan," one person wrote.Another simply said: "Unbearable," while a third commented: "Richard Madeley and Sarah Vine on GMB slagging off Meghan and Harry yet again.
