FORWARD Catha Jacobs believes the Springbok Women's team has expanded their skill set as they gear up for Saturday's Test against the Black Ferns.
Less than a year after their World Cup dream was ended by the Black Ferns, the Springbok Women's team will get a second chance to measure their progress when the two sides meet at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
New Zealand’s 48-11 victory in the quarter-finals in Exeter last September ended South Africa’s historic run to the last eight.
For Catha Jacobs, who looks set to earn her 31st Test cap, the memory remains fresh, but so does the belief that South Africa have grown since that match.
“We left the field frustrated after the quarter-final clash against the Black Ferns,” Jacobs said. “It was great to have made the last eight for the first time ever and even better to be 10-10 at half-time. But the second half did not go our way.”
