Two police personnel were suspended here on Wednesday in connection with the escape of a murder case accused in Madurai on Tuesday.A Class X student from Tiruppattur area in Sivaganga district was murdered on June 4 by Aravind, 25, and others from Ilanthamangalam. Tiruppattur police had registered a case regarding this and arrested Aravind.Subsequently, he was detained under the Goondas Act and lodged in Madurai Central Prison.Further, the case related to this is ongoing in the Sivaganga POCSO Special Court. On Tuesday, Sivaganga police personnel took Aravind from the Madurai Central Prison and produced him at the Sivaganga court. Afterwards, they took him back to the Madurai prison on a two-wheeler.While they had stopped at a traffic signal near Simmakkal, Aravind pushed aside the policeman accompanying him for security and escaped. Madurai Vilakkuthoon and Sivaganga police are searching for him.Meanwhile, Sivaganga District Superintendent of Police Abhishek Gupta issued an order suspending the two police personnel who escorted the accused: Sivaganga Armed Reserve police constable Maharajan and S.S.
