Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it attacked several bases across the region, including the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, where it claimed it "killed a number of enemy elements".

In a statement, the IRGC said it carried out a combined missile and drone attack on the military base in Kuwait hosting US forces, adding that it targeted the headquarters and residence of the American commander of the base.

It added that the attack destroyed several US drones and set fire to a drone hangar and a ramp through which UAVs participated in strikes on Iran.

"What is painful and worrying for us is the occupation of Islamic lands by the child-killing and terrorist army of America," the IRGC said.

"These attacks are to help you cleanse the pure land and homeland of the righteous, Kuwait, from the filth of the American infidels."
