Power utility PPC announced on Tuesday a significant reduction in its fixed-rate (blue) electricity tariff and said it would absorb most of the wholesale price increases in its variable green tariff.
PPC said that despite a 21% increase in the wholesale electricity market in August compared with July, it was cutting the price of its fixed-rate blue tariff, PPC myHome Online, to €0.115 per kWh.
The move allows households to lock in a particularly low and competitive rate amid rising prices, providing greater predictability over their energy costs.
PPC said the move demonstrated its commitment to supporting Greek households amid sharp fluctuations in international markets.
