The PPC group sealed on Friday its entry into the Polish energy market, one of the most promising and fastest growing clean energy markets in Europe, with the agreement for the inclusion of wind and photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 277.3 MW in the RES (renewable energy sources) portfolio.

The agreement with EDP Renewables Polska and EDP Renewables Polska is another step toward implementing the new development strategic plan of the PPC group for the period 2026-2030, which foresees an investment program of €24 billion with the aim of almost doubling the group’s installed capacity.

The strategic positioning in the Polish market strengthens the strategy of creating a single regional clean energy platform, which will extend from Greece to Central and Southeastern Europe, offering greater geographical dispersion and limiting business risk.

The portfolio acquired by PPC includes three wind farms with a total capacity of 130.5 MW in the Ilza, Tomaszow and Poturzyn areas, two photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 44.9 MW in the Pakoslaw and Recz areas, as well as two new photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 101.9 MW that are under development and are expected to be commissioned in 2029.
