The countdown to the holiday season is quickly approaching. As it does every year on the first day of September, Lego has launched a new wave of Advent calendars to assemble throughout the month of December. All of these kits are packed with festive versions of iconic Minifigures and other holiday-themed builds, and they are some of my favorite kits to assemble. I’ve been buying and building them year after year for the past decade, and now the 2026 collection has landed on store shelves. One of the first things I did today was run to the store and buy some of the new kits, which I’ll take a closer look at below.
These don’t just impress dedicated Lego fans like myself, but they wow enough to land a spot in our guide to the best Advent calendars time and time again. This year’s holiday-themed kits include a new Star Wars set themed around the Mandalorian, the debut of Doctor Doom in a Marvel Advent calendar, an all-new collection of Disney builds, the usual City holiday countdown kit and more. There are even some launch discounts attached for those looking to get ahead of their holiday shopping and save some cash.

Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026
One of my favorite holiday traditions is assembling the yearly Lego Star Wars Advent calendar, which is my favorite of the new kits. I've been assembling these kits from a galaxy far, far away for well over a decade now, and I always look forward to building the festive takes on iconic characters like the Mandalorian and Grogu, as well as various droids, miniature starfighters, Dewbacks and other critters.
