There’s really no doubt that Lego makes for one of the best gifts you can give or receive. As long as you don’t mind building them, and most people adore the rare chance to focus and enjoy a bit of peace and quite, they’re a joy from start to finish. You can get them for all ages too, with there being some that are toys, some which are experimental for learning, and even display sets for the older connoisseur. You can still get the play sets if you’re older though, nobody can stop you.

Flying Solo
This set is intended for Lego fans who are over the age of 18, because it’s fairly complex, but also because it’s meant to be displayed somewhere nice, like a mantelpiece or a museum. Maybe even one of those light-up shelves. You can play with it, sure, but that’s not the intent. It’s a moderately compact one, but it still packs in 921 pieces in total, which is going to take up a few of your hours to put together, or you can spend that time building it with someone else. That requires a lot of patience though, so do keep that in mind.
The set also comes with a display stand to allow you to pose it a little bit and find the right angle for wherever you put it. It also has a plaque to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Star Wars, so it’s a proper collectible on top of being a beautiful bit of Lego. It’s part of a Starship Collection in the Lego Star Wars line too, so you can grab the others if you want to and end up with a beautiful blocky fleet.
