Ukraine has called on UN member states, international organizations and parliamentary institutions not to recognize the illegal pseudo-elections that Russia plans to hold in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories.
Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Betsa said this on Tuesday during a UN General Assembly meeting on the situation in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories, according to an Ukrinform correspondent based in New York.
“Ukraine calls on all member states, international organizations and parliamentary institutions not to recognize these illegal and fictitious electoral processes, their results, or any mandates obtained as a result of voting conducted in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territory,” Betsa said.

She also urged states and international organizations “not to send observers or representatives to these illegal electoral processes, and not to participate in any activity that could be construed as recognition or legitimization of such voting.”
