The Valliyoor All Women Police have arrested a migrant labourer from West Bengal on charges of sexually harassing a nine-year-old girl after trespassing into her house.Police said an unidentified person, who trespassed into a house in a village under Radhapuram police station limits on August 25, sexually harassed a the girl. When the girl screamed in fear, he escaped. Based on a complaint from the girl’s mother, the Valliyoor All Women Police registered a case.During investigation, the police collected CCTV footages from cameras fitted in the area and found a 25-year-old man leaving the girl’s house in the early hours through the back door. Subsequently, the police established the identity of the stranger to be G. Suraj Deb Roy, 27, from Cooch Behar district in West Bengal and arrested him on Monday. He was remanded in judicial custody.
