The police on Tuesday arrested a migrant worker on the charge of sexually assaulting a minor girl with reported developmental disorders near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore.According to the police, a 50-year-old man from Bihar was arrested for sexually assaulting the girl aged about 10, who is also from the same State.The police registered a case against the accused, who is a neighbour of the survivor, based on a complaint lodged by her mother at the All Women Police Station, Coimbatore central.A team headed by Inspector P. Chandralekha arrested him for offences under Sections 5 (m) (penetrative sexual assault on a child below twelve years) and 6 (punishment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
