The police have arrested a 60-year-old man on the charge of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl near Coimbatore. The accused allegedly developed an affair with the girl’s mother after she separated from her husband. The woman has been residing with her mother and the minor daughter.The police said the accused allegedly assaulted the girl sexually in May this year. The girl reportedly disclosed the ordeal to her grandmother, who lodged a complaint with the All Women Police Station, Perur.The accused was arrested on Sunday, and he was produced before a court on Monday.
